It is the most monumental and most artistic area of the city, for quality and quantity of buildings of architectural interest. Some of the most important are:
- Caffè Liberty, formerly Supercinema Savoia, 1925-1927, inaugurated in 1929, designed by Alfredo Belluomini and decorated by Galileo Chini.
- Neptune Gallery, restored.
- Cinema Eden, 1930, remodeled in 1933 and 1964, designed by Alfredo Belluomini or Mario Morandi (unclear), late-liberty style.
- Duilio 48, 1933, rebuilt in 1947, Liberty style, for the viareggini "Il 48".
